OUR ADVENTURES

I 1989: Mt. Rainier.
After a training day, we made a 2-day ascent to the summit at 14,411’.

II 1990: Baja
We stayed at Rancho Leonero on the Sea of Cortez, riding jet skis, fishing, and scuba diving.

III 1991: Alaska
Salmon fishing on the Kenai River and Halibut fishing out of Homer

IV 1992: Mexico - Mt Popo
At nearly 18,000 feet, Mt Popocatépetl is the highest peak we have climbed.

V 1993: Baja II
We kayaked islands in the Sea of Cortez, camping on the beach and enjoying fresh fish each day,

VI 1994: Moab
Mountain biking and river rafting out of Moab, Utah. Two broken arms and a case of heat stroke.

VII 1995: Alaska II
Sea kayaking and fishing, we journeyed up the Cook Inlet aboard the Glacier Seal. 

VIII 1996: Bozeman
Fly fishing the Madison River

IX 1997: Sierras - Backcountry
Backcountry skiing and camping in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

X 1998: Costa Rica
We rafted multiple rivers, trekked, and strayed in jungle lodges

XI 1999: Channel Islands
The Northern Channel Islands aboard the Truth; kayaking, hiking, fishing and diving.

XII 2000: Cuba
Mardi Gras, mountain biking, diving, spelunking and traveling in a Russian military helicopter.

XIII 2001: Belize
A trip into the highlands that included exploring a cave system with Mayan artifacts.

XIV 2002: Colorado
Out of Silverthorne, we kayaked the upper Colorado River. It was swift and cold.

XV 2003: Alaska III
Our second trip aboard the Glacier Seal. We fished, kayaked and explored glaciers.

XVI 2004: Monterey, Mexico
We rappelled down a series of waterfalls. The ropes and anchors were extremely sketchy.

XVII 2005: Idaho
We snowmobiled through miles of untracked powder, with the Tetons as a backdrop.

XVIII 2006: Mt. Whitney
We climbed the Mountaineers Route to the summit at 14,496’.

XIX 2007: Grand Canyon
We rafted the Colorado River to Phantom Ranch then hiked out via the Bright Angel Trail.

XX 2008: Panama
We trekked through the jungle following the route used by the Spanish to transport silver.

XXI 2009: Florida Everglades
From trekking to kayaking and fishing, we experienced many aspects of this unique area

XXII 2010: Montana
Riverboarding down the Clark Fork of the Columbia River

XXIII 2011: Canada
Camping, portaging and whitewater canoeing on the Bloodvein River near Manitoba.

XXIV 2012: Klamath River
Kayaking on the Klamath River in Northern California. Lots of spills, but plenty to drink.

XXV 2013: Iceland
Our furthest adventure, replete with volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers and lava tubes.

XXVI 2015: The Grand Teton
A technical climb, including a grueling, almost 24-hour day.

XXVII 2016: Grand Canyon
Single track mountain biking along the North Rim.

XXVIII 2017: Toulumne River
Rafting the Toulumne River in California. Some big water and big spills.

XXIX 2018: Nevada
Land Sailing and exploring dry lake beds in Southern Nevada

XXX 2019: Colorado
Camping and ATV riding along old mining trails near Silverton

XXXI 2021: Utah
Canyoneering and ATV riding in majestic country outside of Zion National Park

XXXII 2022: Lousiana
Bayous, alligators, gumbo and Zydeco!

Horse riding and exploring the remote Gila Wilderness
